Mesh, seams and edges: a closer look at your mosquito net

Close-up photograph of the weave of white mosquito net mesh

A mosquito net is made up of more than its overall shape. The mesh forms the enclosure, seams join its sections, and finished edges help define its panels and openings. Looking at each part separately can make the product details easier to understand and help you notice damage during everyday use.

Look across the mesh

Spread a section gently so you can see the weave in good light. Look for holes, tears, snagged threads, or areas that have been pulled out of shape. Avoid stretching the fabric hard while checking it. If you notice damage, photograph the area and ask the team about the appropriate next step.

A close-up photograph can show texture, but it does not by itself establish a measured mesh specification or a performance rating. For a particular product requirement, ask for the specification of that product rather than judging only from a picture.

Follow the stitched joins

Seams are where sections of the net come together. Follow the join along its length and look for an opening between panels, a detached section, or stitching that appears to have come undone. A loose thread and a separated seam are different observations, so a clear close-up helps when you describe the issue.

Do not pull on a loose thread to test it. Check the product instructions or contact the team before attempting a repair that could affect the surrounding fabric.

Check the finished edges and openings

Look along the lower edge, bound sections, and access panels. Notice fraying, tears, or places where edging has separated from the mesh. After setting up the net, also check that its panels and openings are arranged as intended for that design.

Use the close-up viewer

Our interactive net-details section lets you switch between Mesh, Seam, and Edge views and enlarge the images. Use it to become familiar with the parts you are looking at, then compare them with your own net. Construction details can vary between products.

Follow the care instructions for your net

Cleaning and handling should follow the instructions supplied with the product. If you no longer have them, contact the C-Four team with your range name and, if possible, a photograph of the label. That makes it easier to identify the right guidance for your net.
