A good starting point for choosing a mosquito net is a pair of measurements: your mattress length and width. Names such as Single (Small) or Double (Medium) are useful labels, but your actual measurements give you and our team a clearer basis for checking the fit.
Start with the mattress
Use a tape measure and measure the mattress itself. Keep the tape straight along the surface rather than following the curve of bedding. A large headboard or decorative bed frame can make the bed look bigger than the sleeping area, so record any surrounding frame dimensions separately.
- Length: measure from the head of the mattress to the foot.
- Width: measure across the mattress from one side to the other.
- Units: write down whether your figures are in feet, inches, or centimetres.
Keep your exact measurements
Write the result as length × width and keep the original figures. For example, a mattress measuring 6 feet long and 5 feet wide should be recorded as 6 ft × 5 ft. A quick note or photograph of the tape measure can be useful when you ask for help.
The bed-size finder on our home page accepts whole-foot selections from 1 to 10. If your measurement falls between those values, choose the next higher value for the initial check. Keep your exact measurement too, especially if you are close to a size boundary.
Check the net specifications as well
Mattress measurements are only part of the decision. Net shape, height, frame arrangement, and the space around the bed also matter. On Nova round-frame product pages, the Specifications tab includes the round-frame size chart. Use information for the product you are considering; a chart for one construction should not be assumed to apply to another.
Look at the space above and around your bed
Before ordering, note whether you have suitable hanging points and enough room for the chosen frame. Consider how you will get into bed and how the net will sit around the mattress. If the room layout or bed frame makes the arrangement unusual, share those details when you contact the C-Four team.
